How to rename, archive, or delete a client workspace

Rename, archive, or delete a client workspace from Organization settings (org owner).

Prerequisites

  • Organization owner

Use rename for clear client naming, archive when a retainer pauses, and delete only when you intentionally remove the workspace and its scoped data.

Steps

  1. Sign in as org owner and open Organization settings → Workspaces.
  2. Locate the client workspace. Prefer rename when the brand name changed — keep the same workspace so history stays intact.
  3. To stop active work without destroying history, use archive (or the equivalent deactivate control) if shown. Confirm operators lose write access as expected.
  4. To permanently remove a workspace, choose delete only after exporting reports or rankings you still need. Confirm the destructive prompt carefully — projects and memberships in that workspace are removed with it.
  5. Switch remaining operators to another active workspace and verify Projects no longer lists the removed client.
  6. Review seats/credits afterward under Billing if the client was a large tracking consumer.

Outcome

The workspace is renamed, archived, or deleted as intended. Organization roles, billing, and other clients’ workspaces are unchanged.
