How to design prompts that match how buyers ask AI assistants
Write AI prompts in natural buyer language so tracking reflects real assistant questions, not keyword lists.
Prerequisites
- AI Visibility on your package enabled for your organization
Good prompts sound like questions people type into ChatGPT or Perplexity — full sentences, intent, constraints — not comma-separated keywords. Available when AI Visibility is included on your package. If AI nav is missing, confirm package access under Organization settings → Billing / Package.
Steps
- List buyer jobs-to-be-done and objections; turn each into a natural question.
- Include location, budget, or use-case constraints when buyers would.
- Avoid stuffing brand names into every prompt unless you are testing branded queries on purpose.
- Add the set via Add prompts; tag by funnel stage.
- After first jobs, drop prompts that never appear in real research conversations for your ICP.
Outcome
A prompt set that measures real assistant demand. Optional: seed ideas with Brand Prompt Generator when included on your package.
