How to add keywords to track
Add new keywords to an existing RankWatch SEO search context from the Rankings Add keywords flow.
Prerequisites
- Project with SEO tracking enabled for the target search context
- keyword.update (add is blocked for read-only viewer roles)
Add keywords to a live search context without recreating the project. New keywords join the next ranking check jobs for that engine and location.
Steps
- Open Projects → your project → Rankings for the correct search engine / location context.
- Choose Add keywords (toolbar). Confirm the entity / domain being tracked for that context.
- Type a keyword and press Enter (or use the add control), or paste a multiline list to stage several keywords at once.
- Optionally set tags or topics on the draft rows before submitting.
- Submit Add keywords. RankWatch checks for duplicates already tracked in the selected context(s).
- Return to Rankings — new rows appear; positions fill in after the next successful check jobs (or an on-demand recheck if you use that action).
Outcome
The new keywords are tracked under the selected search context. Credit usage and package tracking limits still apply when jobs run.
